This will not limit people to search for jobs within just the industry and / or function. And allow you to provide them with opportunities they would have never thought of.

Have a wildcard search functionality or equivalent. Maybe * after selecting Media/marketing industry would generate a list of all the Mosambe users who are from marketing.

Option for creating profiles by parsing user provided Resume.

Like in LinkedIn it parses the Resume to update the fields on the page.

For offline marketing, offer users business cards with mosambe link on it.

To make it more enticing, add fb/twitter profile link on it as well.
To make it a kind of 'web presence' card.
